Michael J. Hanley Jr. is energetic, hard-working and honest carpenter who specializes in all types of carpentry, from framing to finishing.
When he got started, Michael was put off by the level of shoddy work in the industry and how little integrity and experience many contractors had. Michael prides himself on being the antidote to bad quality and gimmicky cricket solutions.
Michael learned carpentry from his union-trained dad and worked with him as young as 16 years old doing kitchens and bath remodels, as well as windows and doors. He also worked with a highly reputable builder and an architect-turned builder for over 6 years.
Michael is always learning. He is always refining his best practices, identifying the best products and seeking out the best people to work with and for.
Michael is licensed and insured in Pennsylvania, PAHIC: 158020; and Maryland, MHIC: 108904, 141940. Michael J Hanley Jr. Inc. is a service-disabled veteran owned small business. He served five (5) honorable years in the United States Marine Corps in support of OIF 5-7. Michael has a B.S. (Summa Cum Laude) in small business management.

Time & Materials Pricing
Michael offers two types of pricing: Fixed price OR Time and Materials. The time and materials labor rate is $125 per hour plus 20% on materials. Michael has done time and materials contracts almost exclusively for the past two years and clients have been pleased.
